Battlefield tours by certified Battlefield GuideWelcome to the website of DRG Battlefieldtours & Books. DRG was founded in 2006 to gather information and knowledge about the airwar “40-45” over the Netherlands, the largest air battle of World History.
The organization and operations of the German air defense in the Netherlands have our special attention. The history of Fliegerhorst Deelen and associated command centers and (Funkmess (radar)) sites have priority in our research, excursions and publications. We also stock a specialized collection of books and DVD’s!
Since Arnhem internationally spoken is mainly known for its role in the ‘Operation Market Garden’ 1944, DRG has started in 2009 to develop battlefield tours with that subject. We focus mainly on smaller groups within the Netherlands- and abroad who come to visit former Market Garden sites. We also work for / with the larger English Market Garden battlefield tour companies that offer tours.
As accredited-member of the Int. Guild of Battlefield Guides (GBG Badge nr.61) we are fully certified and obliged to organise and execute battlefieldtours to the highest standards- with due care for safety and personal customer requirements. The DRG seeks co-operation with other people, groups and agencies that pursue the same objectives , provided that there is an equal exchange of information.
